SuperNova PledgePage

Vision: SuperNova prepares children to find jobs, create opportunities, and plan goals in order to achieve a successful future.

To Whom It May Concern

My name is Lecia Brown, and I am currently a student at the University of Louisville, in Kentucky USA. I am originally from Jamaica and had my first few years of schooling from Moores Primary and Junior High in Clarendon. Currently, I have taken the initiative to start a program called SuperNova in which was initially implemented at Moores Primary and Junior High on December 31, 2008 with hopes of expanding later upon success. This program is built to not only educate the children selected to be in the program but to also give them scholarships to further their education and ultimately have the career they desire. My hopes right now is give each student a $7000JM scholarship each year placed in a bank account in order to help them pay for school once they have graduated. This program reaches far beyond just the scholarship for they will be actively tutoring other students in the class every Monday, having school events to keep everyone in school informed about what they are doing, and also take on community projects to better the Moores Community. The purpose of this website is to see if you were at all interested in possibly sponsoring a child or children each year or even this year alone. Even if you can not donate the entire cost of a child, every little bit counts in making it better for their future. You can obtain a program summary so you have a better idea of the purpose by emailing me at supernovaprogram@aol.com. Thank you.
